Juan Felipe Merizalde was recognized in GAR 45 under 45
Global Arbitration Review (GAR) unveiled its latest edition of 45 Under 45 – a guide to the leading younger practitioners in international arbitration. The previous edition was published in 2011.
We are delighted to announce that our partner, Juan Felipe Merizalde, has earned a well-deserved spot on this list. This ranking acknowledges 45 renowned international arbitration practitioners worldwide, with only two of them based in Latin America.

Our partner, Stephan Adell, Co-Chair of the ICC Advanced Arbitration Academy for Latin America, participated in its first session which took place in Miami on 11 November 2023, at the occasion of the 21st ICC Miami Conference on International Arbitration.

The first session of the ICC Advanced Arbitration for both Latin and North America kicked off as a joint workshop during the same day.

On July 21st, Asuntos Legales published the opinion of our partner, Juan Felipe Merizalde, regarding the recent decision of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Republic of Panama, which confirmed that the only recourse to challenge arbitration awards is through the annulment action, thus ruling out amparos.
